KK Fosu Honors Daddy Lumba with Emotional Tribute Song
Highlife musician Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, popularly known as KK Fosu, has released a heartfelt tribute song in memory of the late music legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba.
Ghanaians continue to mourn the iconic artiste, who passed away recently. A National Candlelight Vigil was held last Saturday to honour his legacy and four-decade-long contribution to Ghanaian music.
Titled “Lumba,” KK Fosu’s tribute pays homage to the late icon and offers comfort to the bereaved family, encouraging them to stay strong during this difficult time.
In an interview following the song’s release, KK Fosu described Daddy Lumba as a towering figure in the Highlife genre who not only inspired his music but also paved the way for the younger generation.
“This tribute is to celebrate Daddy Lumba’s incredible legacy. He was more than a mentor — he shaped my journey as a musician,” KK Fosu said.
The track, accompanied by a visualiser directed by Zizi, is now available on all major streaming platforms.
