NDC Condemned Galamsey Publicly but Endorsed It Privately – John Boadu Alleges
Former NPP General Secretary, John Boadu, has accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of political dishonesty over illegal mining (galamsey).
Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam, Boadu claimed that while the NDC publicly condemned galamsey ahead of the 2024 elections, they privately assured illegal miners of their support.
“Two weeks to the election, they were calling for a state of emergency over galamsey, yet secretly telling miners they could continue under an NDC government,” he alleged.
He also suggested that the NDC’s criticism of initiatives like GoldBod reveals their lack of commitment to ending illegal
“The NDC must admit to their double standards if we’re to find lasting solutions and offer alternative livelihoods,” Boadu added.
